Cycling in Ubud: The Ups and Downs

Cycling in Ubud seems like such a great idea.  That is until you figure out that Ubud is full of hills, and for much of the year, quite warm.  This is why most Ubud cycling tours drive their guests up the mountain and then let them roll down.  But to me, sitting in a crowded van in traffic just to roll down a hill is not my idea of a good time.  For this reason, and may others, an electric cycling tour with eBikes Bali is your best choice for seeing the real Bali.

Our bikes are high quality electric bicycles.  These bikes allow you to pedal, use electric, or any combination of the two.  They are absolutely perfect for flattening out those Ubud hills.  So, because we have electric bikes we can start our cycling tours right from Ubud.  This allows our guests to see all the incredible sites around Ubud in just a half day cycling tour, leaving time for other great Ubud activities.

The eBikes Bali Tegalalang tour is an incredible opportunity for cycling in Ubud.  You get to experience the local culture as you ride through villages, visit temples, and witness the amazing Tegalalang rice terrace.  Another fantastic electric cycling tour is the Tirta Empul tour.  This tour is similar to the Tegalalang tour but the destination is the 800 year old holy water temple of Tirta Empul.

On both tours, the whole way you will be in the capable hands of our local guides.  These guys are awesome!  They are all from the local area, speak fantastic English, and are super happy to share their culture with you.  There are numerous stops along the way where they will point out and explain some of the highlights of the area.  End your Ubud cycling tour with a delicious Balinese lunch and you will see why we are one of the top-rated activities on Tripadvisor.

If you are looking to do some cycling in Ubud look no further than eBikes Bali.  The best equipment, the best route, the best guides.  Go ahead and make a no-commitment booking with us.  Change or cancel your booking any time.  So, go for it!  Ubud is waiting for you.
