Tour Details

This half day tour allows you to see some of Bali’s greatest treasures. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. A must do!

The tour starts just outside of Ubud center and travels rice field tracks and back roads through local villages, rice terraces, as you make your way to the UNESCO world heritage site, Tirta Empul water temple.

The Tirta Empul water temple is considered to be one of the holiest temples in Bali. It was built over 1000 years ago, and attracts many pilgrims coming to cleanse themselves in the holy waters.

But as grand as Tirta Empul is, getting there on our ebike tour is half the fun. The tour travels through rice terraces and local villages. You will experience Balinese temples and witness the incredible subak water irrigation system which has developed over centuries to keep the rice fields green and fertile. We will also take you to a local family compound where you can see how the Balinese really live. The tour finishes at Tirta Empul where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you and you are free to explore the temple.

And remember this is all done on our state of the art electric bicycles. This means you can pedal as much or as little as you want. We make frequent stops and have a support vehicle following you at all times. Our guides also take pictures along the way.

Make a Day of It!

Optional (Additional 200k Rupiah per group)

This is aimed at our guests coming from outside of Ubud.

For the morning tour, book transport with us, “make a day of it”, and after the tour we will drop you off in Ubud. You can then enjoy this great village all afternoon. We will then pick you up at a time of your choosing and return you to your hotel. (Maximum of 3 hour wait in Ubud)

For the afternoon tour it works the same except that we would bring you to Ubud in the morning, give you time to explore then pick you up for the tour and after the tour, return you to your hotel. (Maximum of 3 hour wait in Ubud)

Inclusions

All fees at Tirta Empul Temple. Including entrance and sarong.

Requirements

The tour travels both on and off road, and while it is not especially challenging it does require some bicycle riding experience.

There is no minimum age for the tour but please be advised that our bikes are full sized 26″ mountain bikes and may be too big for young children. There is a 150 cm height requirement.

There is no maximum age. We have had many guests in their 70’s do the tour with no problems.

Maximum weight allowable is 120 kg (265 lbs.).

Covered footwear and sunscreen are highly recommended.

What Happens if it Rains?

Ubud has a beautiful tropical climate and it does rain now and then. If it is raining on the day of your tour you can cancel with no obligation or you can just enjoy the experience and go on the tour. We provide rain gear for our guests.
